This colorful, watercolor inspired digital art piece is of the iconic Mardi Gras Arch located in Galveston, Texas. The arch was commissioned by Galvestonian George Mitchell and created for the City's 1986 Mardi Gras celebration. It is a beloved, iconic Galveston landmark.

The subjects of much of Jan’s art include themes of her home in Houston, the Houston Heights and Galveston Island, Texas as well as other special places.

Jan M. Stephenson is the artist and creator of the Heights Design Collection – a group of classic, timeless designs that reflect the history and beauty of one of Houston’s oldest and most treasured neighborhoods, the Houston Heights. They include her very popular blue Heights Tile and Tree, Texas Tile and historic Heights Tile designs. She also created a blue Houston Tile design in the same spirit as the Heights Tile in her signature blue color.
